Cheat Sheet

Cheat Sheet

Today everybody has been given a quest to complete. That is the cheat sheet. We have all been assigned to re-create a photoshop job that Boss has done a tutorial of how to do. I have re-created this with my own images and I am excited to show you it.

The image below is what Boss assigned us. I have worked on it all period, I am not familiar with photoshop, but this tutorial helped me greatly get around just some of the cool features of this application. Boss also asked us to paste our notes here, so here they are:

Photoshop

F to get out of ugly mode
Revert is to get back to last saved state
Be on layer of one of images, CMD C CMD N
CMD D to deselect
OPT CMD I gives resolution and size
OPT CMD C add 70px squared (140 px)
Make BCKGR black and white with OPT DEL and SHFT OPT DEL
Select all four images with CMD SHFT CLICK

Illustrator

Black Arrow tool is best tool
Double clicking with certain tools brings up size question
Double clicking on actual tool sometimes brings options of tool
When drawing with the pencil tool, the line may change when intersecting a highlighted line
When merging a live paint tool with a dead one, use edit > live paint > merge
hold SHFT when re-sizing in order to prevent stretching the pizza
SHT click highlights multiple items at once

Adobe Spark Test

Adobe Spark Test

I have received my first direct quest from the boss meant especially for coders! Even though Adobe Spark was entirely meant to edit pictures and create cool quotes with pictures to glorify them.

Anyways, I've made a really cool glorified quote as well, there was a link to it, or you can just look down a bit and it'll smack ya in the face.

I guess this quote was my best attempt at saying something wise as it is the only category that I have explored the most in my teenager life. I actually, "understand" women a lot more than anyone else I've met other than any adults, but when it comes down to things, they only want love and affection. I'm straying off topic, the true meaning to this half-butted quote was to describe that when there are good times, there follows bad times. When there is glory there follows defeat. Where there is love, there follows hatred.

Ah, but not the hatred that you may first think of, the hatred is not two brothers clashing each other for the last pizza, or two warriors fighting for a princess of another castle because it always seems like it's the right one, or not even two sisters fighting over a man. It's something deeper. Something that I cannot even explain on my own but I will try my best doing that for the sake of my grade in this class. (Just kidding!)

When you love. there are more than love surrounding your emotions. There comes curiosity, wonder, anxiety, hatred as previously referred to, and once in a while, complete, and utterly crude love. You begin to question, "how long will I feel like this for her, him"? You begin to wonder, "is there really another better off for me?", you begin to worry, "has there been another meant to be better off for me?", you begin to plot, "this can't be right... There has to be another... Somewhere...", and in fact not as rare as it may seem, but you will eventually begin to realize, "She/He is the one." You begin to see what has been laid upon you, you realize the great weight of your current possessions and then glorify what you have for all that it is worth because you have finally realized, through a lot of backwards thoughts and weird imaginations, that he/she has actually been giving you their all. They have been living everyday since you've met them for you. You've realized the air they breath is for you. So you decide. With Love Follows Hate. With hate, follows sanctuary.

Growth VS. Fixed Mindset

Growth Mindset

My mindset is entirely growth. I am glad, relieved, and grateful for having this type of mindset, for I can learn to code and use lots of coding languages, despite the increase of difficulty when I learn a new language. My mindset can allow me to try twice as hard after my first failure. I don't think I would be able to finish the table rubric if i had not this potential of a mindset.

To be me, I must try hard. Tell me I try, tell me I'm trying too hard, tell me I'm giving too much of an effort. Tell me these things because that's who I am, and if I cannot be who I am without somebody reminding me that it is, then I don't think it is worth doing what I love. If I cannot be the person I love, then I find no value in trying.

We're detouring from the main topic, I'm sorry, what I'm trying to talk about is my mindset! When I fail, I don't give up and abandon my goals, because how much do you really want to complete your goals, if you give up on the first failure? That's not much determination in my eyes.

For a goal that I wish to accomplish, for example, to live in the suburbs with a fine amount of money doing the job that I would love, I have to produce enough determination, and perseverance. Despite all the detouring and failures, I will keep going, no matter what people say, and how others have completely failed. My goals reflect my future life, and I do not plan on wasting the time I have now to abandon my opportunities.

This is the trait I have that I most value, and embrace.

The growth mindset is me. Nothing from the fixed mindset represents me as a part, or a whole. The growth mindset is again, what i am, and what I'm proud of. Others success inspires me to try harder, and others failure does the same.

Perfect Kern - Fontstruct

Perfect Kern

As part of the Spring Break week, I've created a font perfect for kerning! I made this font thanks to a website known as Fontstruct, provided by the Spring Break 411 page at the MacLab. This font sports a decent squared theme that would perfect the problematic corner of design known as kerning. The name of this font is purposely named Perfect Kern.

I spent a couple days creating this font, and perfecting it. I had the most trouble with V, X, and Z. The slants in these letters gave me a wash down since I'm fresh beginner with Fontstruct.

2026 Insight and Ponder

In Ten Years

Please watch this video to understand the purpose of this posts ponder.

In ten years, the first world problems of today might be known as the past world problems. With the new equipment provided for deaf people, this innovation will bridge to possible sixth senses provided by humanity and it's advancements ourselves.

Mother Earth gave us the tools, our brains, and a world of discoveries and inventions. It's our job to uncover hidden advancements for human flourishment. We have a time limit, and within that time, we will create technology that will end all conflict, provide peace, and unity for all humans. Overpopulation will cease, hunger will cease, planets will be waiting for our arrival, and humans will be known universally.

These advancements may or may not come in ten years, but with the progression of tech along these last ten years, a double of these innovations my take place in the next ten years, or a triple, nobody knows, until we come up with a time machine that it.

As a ponder, I think that we will have robots replaces fruitless jobs such as truck drivers, mail deliveries, servants, cooks, maids, drive-thru workers, fast food workers in general, and others. Mindless job space will be stripped from the unconcentrated humans, and jobs that will actually test their potential will be the only open jobs.

The world where people use a mindless job for money will end, and real jobs that would utilize their boat smarts will set their efforts along a purposeful line of greatness that benefits others.

This is my accusation of the futures advancements in ten years, even though it will never be complete, the ten years that unfolds from today on will prove me right or wrong, or future teller. Then all the useless space takers will be wiped away and the ones who matter will flourish, kind of like a totalitarian state, without the constant citizen monitoring.

5 Stages to the Creative Process

5 Stages to the Creative Process

First Insight:

When I was in 8th grade,I wanted to learn how to code. So, my friend, Hunter, recommended to my friends and I that we joined a class called digital arts. At first, I was confused because digital arts didn't quite sound like a coding class, but when I tried it in 9th grade, I was sure amazed.

We had so many opportunities for a future in the technological field that I was overwhelmed. The first thing I began was to gain some loot to join a guild. While doing this, I worked up my designing talent in Adobe Illustrator. I love Adobe Illustrator. I've become so talented at it that my fellow peers seem to be amazed, and even jealous of my skill.

This kind of fame has infected me will the desire to become a great graphic designer! With the coding dream put at a hold, I spent a little more time than I had meant for creating amazing works in Adobe Illustrator. All these works are documented in my 9th grade MacLab site.

Eventually, I've realized that coding would be a greater destination for my future, and I kick started Unity, and some programmer tutorials to assist me on my first attempt towards creating a working game. This was however not so successful, because all I was doing in those videos, being my young freshman self, was pretty much copying, and pasting what the tutorials offered.

After a year of tasting what the MacLab has to provide us education hungry students, I yearned for more. For my next year in the MacLab, this year, I finally began working hard towards my goal of a computer programming genius using better tutorials, and actually making an effort to absorb the information provided for me so I could use it on my own without a reference.

Saturation

My inspiration was growing. The more I learned, the more interested and excited I became. Eventually, I finished learning about xHTML, and CSS, so I decided to move on to JavaScript. JavaScript will probably be the most difficult language I have ever, and will ever come across. It's almost like learning an extremely harder version of English.

Despite the difficulty, my inspiration continued to grow. The complexity only gave me more passion towards reaching my goal. I was determined to achieve the peak of my dreams.

Incubation

I received a project meant to give a Library's Book reliability for a book project life. The goal was to make a box display a number, and have a color segregate it from the rest of the boxes. The boxes determined the reliability of the book under separate categories. I've began working on this project, and as I was, I've realized that the creativity of the right side of my brain was itching for some impressive alterations!

Even since the only requirement for this project was functionality, I wanted to take it a step further. The right side of my brain desired a totally new look, a look that was alienated from the rest of the class. A look that was fantastic, and that my right brain could look upon and smile. So, the only thing to do, was to add intriguing colors, as well as a smooth functionality.

Ah-ha!

I am still working because after I've reached my Ah-ha! moment, I've decided to take it another 10%. I've changed the color schemes, altered the selective programs, and now, I've been working for a way to dust the dirty grime between success, and pro-success!

Verification

The extra 10% in still under process. I have so far, the printing of the numbers on the left, and the colors. I am very excited to say that since I've got these mechanics to successfully work, Now I just have to link the numbers with my previous code and submit it for my finished product!

Reflection

The 5 Stages to the Creative Process all resonates throughout one's goal to achieve greatness. The First Insight brings inspiration, and great desire. Saturation brings the strength to keep you inspiration alive, the desire to be the great warrior you yearned since day one of the first insight. Incubation brings the tough load of work to penetrate through and provide proof of resilience, this is a crucial stage to really brighten your desire to be what you love.

Ah-ha! strips the determined and passionate, from the tainted and un-interested. The accomplishment of achieving one's goal is gratifying. The desire to have better would soon spark, and if you have what it takes, the ones who will see the sun behind the clouds will be alienated. Finally, verification. This stage is the final one, it's resonation is the greatest. If the will to provide a perfect product filled with the heart of a determined worker is present, then the work will be purified by the love of it's artist. This stage truly separates the great from the greatest, and I personally think that I am one of those people.

Uni-vision

I see you!

It turns out that I can't do two things at once... Gathering all the loot from those victims AND working on the table rubric?? What am I a magician?? Oh wait, I'm a wizard... I think.... Anyways, that'll be nearly impossible to retain perfect reign for my rubric, and scrutinize my victims blogs. I'll have to postpone the rubric for this weekend!

The Rake of Finances

If Challenge be Present, Loot Will Closely Pursue

The Table Rubric has been presented to Boss, and I have been rewarded 1,000 gold! I have raked in the loot, and now I look forward to attracting another 500 tomorrow with my gold magnet! The Rubric will now undergo a spring cleaning. Get it? It's spring?? Haha... I crack myself up... Anyways, what I mean by that is that I will work on making the Rubric nice and pretty for the extra loot claim! I plan to combine the two columns on the bottom and get a better set of colors to stick with the rubric.

I've also found a couple more victims for the hunters and healers! I couldn't hunt DickDastardly, but I could grab loot from imagineAnony, and Lucky, but now I'm going for Jmar1214, Frosty63, HyperLeblanc, MrMooshie, and lowkeey!

Where Art Thou Monthly pot o' Loot Drawings?

Pot o' Loot Drawings

After claiming my 12th home loot and getting out of debt, (yay! I'm out of debt!) I've realized that we haven't done any of the monthly pot o' loot drawings! I remember in freshmen year when we had a monthly drawing for pot o' loot, it was really fun, Salivas, Thanatos, and I all voted the same number one time, and we all won! I think it was the November pot o' loot.

We may be able to do the February pot o' loot on Tuesday because I plan on reminding him about it tomorrow. I'm really excited for this, it will be our first pot o' loot drawing this school year!

OCD

My Poor Little Heart

I claimed my eleventh Home Loot perk and I seem to be 13 gold away from getting out of debt!! ;^; Somebody please lend my 13 gold, I need it to escape debt! Waah... My OCD is acting up too, I just needed that small amount of gold to hike me up into the land of the free! Ones who are out of debt!

I know hunters and healers are tomorrow, but it's a Monday, so I have 49 minutes to find my prey and pounce (I accidentally wrote punch somehow, it wasn't even the auto-correct, I actually typed punch rather pounce! I think it's because One Punch Man is my new favorite anime.) on their blog rather than 55... This is not including the 411 video and all the distractions from my peers asking how my blog is.

I believe I'll make it though, it won't take 40 minutes to clear the dust devil and find my prey. I actually don't know how Hunter's and Healer's works, I didn't participate in the hunting fare in freshman year. Other than that, actually, if I think about it, I do have enough time in store for another Home Loot claim... YAAYY!!

Hour of Code

Hour of Code Reflection

I've spent some time browsing my stats list at the maclab, and I discovered that I've never mastered the Hour of Code quest. So, I've finished it! I spent my time creating a flappy bird cut out game. The backgrounds changed, the speed changed, the character even changed. Though, none of it was actual coding.

I was pretty disappointing when I discovered this, I wanted to test my might when coding an actual game on a website that is testing my flight in those airs. Though this was present, I learned that the purpose of this game was to get people to understand what coders think when they have any onclick event in their code. When the game starts, run this strip of code, when the player dies run this strip of code, oh, and when the player hits anything make the player die. That's basically what coders are thinking when it comes to coding the actual character. Once I realized this purpose, I found it enjoyable.

Mathematical Victory!

Table Rubric Math Completion!

I've done it! I knew I would figure it out by the end of the Week 23! In my table rubric, I've been struggling to get the total points to add up into a grand total. Well, ten minutes ago from when I posted this post, I've figured out how to do it!

I felt amazing when I finished it, just as I expected according to my previous blog posts about Code is Hard and Monument Valley, any accomplishment would feel absolutely rewarding, and it did! I finished the math portion, and I feel absolutely amazing!

Later, Monument Valley

Monument Valley Postpone

There's another sizable article called Monument Valley that I've accepted on reading and writing about. I'll wait for week 24 to write about it, Week 23 has enough paragraphs to read on it. So don't freight viewers! I've spared your time and eyes at least until next week! (By the way, 24 is my favorite number c:)

There are a total of two paragraphs to be written about this article as well. The app was made in UX, I find it interesting, it seems like another puzzle game though. I'm not so interested in those kinds of games, but this game seems to reel me into it. I'll try to look into it once I receive my phone.

Realization of Boss's request

Realization

Please refer to Week 13 to fully understand this post.

I've come to a realization after re-reading his request, I've completed half of this task just by completing the first task... Oopsie, heh, that'll be a minor setback, but I'm sure Boss and I could figure something out tomorrow since we're already going to have a lengthy discussion about all the questions I have.

Gam3K1ng's Mistakes

What in the World??

What art thou friend thinking?!

This website projects a clear message saying that you toyed with absolute positioning capability is CSS! This is absolutely absurd Gam3K1ng, fix it now! Before you infect me with you disgusting habits!! Here is a link to your infectious 'site'.

Update

It turns out the Gam3K1ng actually didn't mean to commit such taboo! This means he admits that he has made a mistake on his blog, and that my small screen had nothing to do with that glitch! Oh my Gam3K1ng... What shall be done to you?

The all Seeing Eye

The all Seeing Eye

If you plan on sneaking some loot, or cheating any system, or exploiting any glitches under the boss's wings, then you'd better be ready for god's mighty smite!

No matter the range of bad activity, his smites usually end in with one invitation... And that invitation usually contains a 3 and a couple 0's! If you've received anything greater than the 3 then you oughta be one dare devil.

Inspiration

Shh! It's a secret!

GitHub

GitHub Confusion

Gah! Why must GitHub be so confusing as to setting it up?? I need some assistance on syncing my repository on the GitHub Desktop app. Should I wait until Saturday School to ask Forest for help? No, I should ask GameKing, Salivas, or morstix about it first. If neither three of them tried to set it up, then I will pack up my bravery and send it on a ship to the Arctic because all that leaves before Saturday school is the Boss...

I better invest on a leg steroid because I'll walk around school that day with a truck full of criticism... That is if I don't get critiqued to the death of me like I usually do! I have a feeling it will go fairly well though. That is unless the Boss reads this post before tomorrow comes...

Link Glitch

Links!

Links will be quite the annoyance, within the HTML (For example) parameters, I cannot get a link to open a new page rather replacing the page you were previously on. This set back has me on my toes! I shall discover a way to fix this taboo as quick as possible!!

Fixed!

Wow, two minutes later, I've discovered that by adding the attribute of 'target="_blank"', then it would open a new page with he links destination present. This is where I've found this resolve. I will now proceed to apply this to every link of my website. See you all in half an hour!! ;^;

Reference

Where art thou Weeks 1-18?

To be frank, gone. The previous website containing weeks 1-15 was lost, and weeks 16-18 were forgotten. A link to the previous website will not be on this page because I've lost that website as well.

I might have it bookmarked on the mac at the maclab, so an update on this blog may be in order, but if this text is still present, then the website will obviously be voided due to the refrain of it's address being present in any form. Except for week 13, for some reason i have week 13 in this page.

Mining!

I have discovered the page that contains the weeks of 1-11!! It was buried in the lone Week 13. Speaking of Week 13, that week was in the 'Weekly' page. That's exactly why I cannot abandon the weekly, I had no idea I've created a page dedicated to the weekly's, even though I know that I would, being myself and all.

Speaking of Weekly page, I've moved all the recent weeks to that page in order to keep consistency. So if you're wondering where they went, then read this short paragraph again you day dreaming cheat.

As for week 12, I have no idea where that went. As for the previous weeks, they're ugly, they need some work. Too bad they're in a whole different website.

Oopsie!

It's not Funny.

I've made many mistakes before, but this one smacks right dab on the top of the list of priorities for fixation. Or so it should have, I've attempted to complete this confession post about one.. Two.. Seven weeks ago. Obviously, that hasn't had a single effort put into it, and it was forgotten since. I have no excuses for this occasion, I deeply apologize for the inconvenience.

As for what the post originally had writ in it's HTML page, I was apologizing for abandoning the weekly quests ranging from week 15-19. I've really thrown myself out of the weekly assignments due to the coding tutorials, I've lost track of weekly's because I was consumed by the strive for education.

Then, ironically, after I've realized this and confronted boss at the end of the first semester about it along side my fellow peers, I've become consumed by a code project that set my mind aside form this confession post. At least though, I've kept up with Weekly's 20-22 and the rest of the weekly's for this year will definitely have my complete focus upon them whenever the time comes for it.

I apologize once more for foiling my own progress upon the weekly documentation quests. I hope that forgiveness has shined upon the pity that you may feel for me.

Opinion

All of the Above?

Please visit this quest to fully understand what this post is revolved around.

Effective. Persuasive. Convincing. Impressive.

Shouldn't there be an all of the above option? It's effective for the student to think back to after they've watched it and start to kick off their life by applying for a college degree. It's effective after they've earned their job of desire and began working for income.

It's persuasive for anybody who hasn't really put much thought on how the future would face them. I like to think of my future as a challenge. A challenger who came prepared for battle, this video could persuade any watcher who does not prepare well enough to face their future. It could prepare them for the future battles that they will come across.

It may convince the reader that they should begin looking for a skill that corresponds with what they would like to do in the future for money as a job. It may convince them to pay more attention in class in order for them to get the best grades they could so their dream college could accept them without hesitation, it could convince them to strive for a victory after battling their future.

This video was organized perfectly. I found it profound and impressive. I think that any other student who found value from this video would feel the same way.

Success in the new economy requirements

The Economy Buzz

All the buzz in the recent economy is the change that's been evolving since economy first existed. The extra buzz was the evolution of technology and how jobs opened wider and wider for experienced and skillful students willing to employ. I plan to learn about many languages corresponding with "code".

Coding is intriguing to me, I may not be the best to ever master this language, but I hope to become skilled enough to fluently write these languages on demand, and whenever I feel I would like to for a side project alike a video game or maybe designing a website for a fellow friend or even a client. I find coding a fantastic route to walk down if you're looking forward to creating technological advancements, or accomplishments. I've realized this myself before I came across this video.

Though I have, Brian's video would further nail down these facts onto someone who doesn't fully understand what kind of world they're wandering into. Job desires evolved from physical work to mental grinding skill provided by education from a college ranging from a 2 year to any year count one may offer. In order to get the job desired, you must main in a class that teaches the requirements to be able to apply for that job in the first place.

Schools teach classes that you will probably never need, so why not take a stand and take a class that have the least to do with what you plan on doing for the rest of your life in order to gain income? These thoughts are exactly what everyone should come across before they jump into a university or a college, "What am I doing here?", "Why am I here?", "What is my goal for life?", "What do I want to do?", "What am I good at?". These thoughts sound a lot like ZIM for the maclab.

That's because ZIM is not only meant for students to do well in the class, it's for students to refer back to when they are dropped off in the real world. The whole point of the maclab is to get students somewhere in the future, it's to increase the chances of them to get a job that parallels with the demands of job owners for skilled students under the technological needs of today. The whole world is revolving around technology, not only is that a saying for people to brush aside, it's a message for you to get off that truck seat and start learning something a little more complex than driving a big truck down a freeway, it's a wake up call.

What I'm doing in the maclab is learning about JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java programming, and many more coding languages that may peak my interests.

Why I'm there is because I've listened to the wake up call. I've realized the future, I even have motivations as to why I'm learning code, I wish to create video games in the future, I am a hardcore gamer, I love games, games are amazing, beautiful, and intriguing.

What my goal for life is to be able to work at home on a laptop for a game that will make income for my family and friends or whomever wishes to help me with it, or work for a company who finds an interest for video gaming. My goal for life is to be able to be at peace while I work for my job, and still be able to earn enough income to be able to pay off the bills that I would receive while I live with my family in the suburbs.

What I want to do was already explained, video game creation.

What I am good at is my final resolve, everybody who walked into HTML, or JavaScript was horrible at it if it was their first ever scripting language or coding language for that matter. They will never be good at anything unless they organize time into it. No one ever learns anything for the first time and is immediately great at it, they need practice, that is why I always push myself to learn about code. I will never become great at it unless I spend my extra time on it, and by the looks of it, spending this extra time seems to be working.
